We want to hear from you!

Are you using our work? Have a question about making a donation? Tell us about it.

Journalists working on deadline on stories about any of our campaigns or reports, including the Census Bureau's prison miscount, the prison phone industry, the video visitation industry, jail letter bans, or sentencing enhancement zones are likely to receive a faster response by the form below, but may also request a media phone number. Either way, and on any topic, we will call journalists back as soon as possible.

Journalists writing stories on deadline about our campaigns are welcome to call our main number at (413) 527-0845. On the other hand, if you use the form below, multiple staff members will see your message immediately and you are likely to get an even quicker response.

If you are not a journalist, please use the form below.

Students are welcome to use this form to ask for guidance with research projects, but since our time is limited we prioritize questions that are detailed and clearly defined, and unfortunately cannot accommodate requests for student interviews longer than five minutes.

Tipsters looking to send us documents may want to use our encryption key.

We can't provide legal assistance, so family members looking for help for incarcerated loved ones may want to check our edited list of organizations that provide legal services.

And if you want to reprint our material, see our reprint policy.

We also welcome old fashioned snail mail. Write to us at:
